What is a DPR?
.......................
A degree progress report, or DPR, is a report listing the requirements for a degree and the courses taken by a student. The DPR is only an advising tool, and it is not an irrevocable contract between the student and the university. The student is responsible for fulfilling all requirements as listed in the Undergraduate Announcements. Decisions concerning schedule planning should be made in consultation with the Undergraduate Announcements.

What is a What-If DPR?
.......................
Each student has two DPR slots. The Master DPR is a DPR run on curriculum that is the closest to what each student has declared in the mainframe system. The What-If DPR is a DPR that can be run by a student or advisor on any available curriculum. This is useful for students considering a change of major or minor. For students with double majors, the What-If DPR contains the second major DPR. What-if DPRs are cleared from the system monthly, but feel free to rerun What-if DPRs anytime and as often as you like.

How do I see/print a student's DPR?
.......................
Students may view and generate their DPRs via SISweb. Advisors may view and generate DPRs via CRSMweb - selecting Student Information. After logging in, enter the students CUID number in the box, or search for the student's ID number. The SDPR command will show the DPR selected in the drop down box, "DPR Report" to show the Master DPR or "What-If DPR" to show the What-If DPR. A What-If DPR will only display if one has been generated in the current calendar month. To request a What-If DPR, use the NDPR command. The new What-If DPR can then be viewed with the SDPR command.

When are DPRs updated?
.......................
DPRs are snapshots of a student's coursework and reflect the student's course status on the date the report was generated. The report date is listed at the top of each page. Master DPRs are generated for all enrolled students after the last day to add a class, after withdrawal hours are calculated, before registration, and after final grades have posted. If you would like to see a more current report, you can submit a What-If DPR request online with the appropriate curriculum.

Where do I go if I have questions about a student's DPR?
.......................
Many matching issues for an individual student's DPR can be solved by filling out a course substitution form. If there is an issue with the DPR curriculum that will affect many students or another problem with the DPR you will need to contact someone to fix the issue. Many departments have a contact person familiar with the DPR curriculum for particular majors. Questions may also be directed to the Degree Progress office. We are happy to investigate any issue that may arise.

How do I request a course substitution?
.......................
Course substitutions for all students are approved through the appropriate channels. To get an individual course substitution, a student must fill out a Form to Request Substitution for a Required Course, get the appropriate signatures, and return it to Enrolled Student Services. Substitutions will show under the approved substitution section on DPRs. Substitutions marked "Applied" are approved and have been matched to a requirement in the DPR. Substitutions marked "Unapplied" are approved, but require manual matching to a requirement.

Which curriculum combinations are available for DPRs?
.......................
Each curriculum combination is based on Announcement year, major, and minor. Each year, DPRs are made available for each major and for many major/minor combinations for majors that require a minor. Periodically more major/minor combinations are added to the list of those available. This availability depends on the number of students who have actually declared that combination. For the availability of older DPR curriculums, please contact the Degree Progress office.
